This is the first day of summer, and has been celebrated by the Gaelic people since what feels like forever. Today, it's seen by many different paths with names such as May Day (European) and Walpurgisnacht (specifically Germanic).
Beltane is historically a festival of sorts to celebrate spring time optimism, because during this time fertility is connected to the steadily growing power of our sun. As such, this is the perfect time to celebrate sexuality, beauty, love, and similar subjects. Or at least for me.
